Three Rivers Park District is conducting a detailed feasibility study for the development of the West Mississippi River Regional Trail along West River Road in the City of Champlin. The study segment extends approximately 3.5 miles along West River Road (CSAH 12) from Hayden Lake Road to 109th Ave N. This is segment B6 of the West Mississippi River Regional Trail Master Plan.

The study includes a preliminary trail cross-section/alignment and identifies possible right-of-way/easement needs, potential stormwater requirements and ponding area opportunities, utility impacts, topographic challenges/wall needs, project costs, and any other potential issue or conflict. The study is also reviewing multimodal crossing opportunities and considers existing multimodal facility connectivity, pedestrian/bicyclist generators, safety, land use, and crossing enhancements. For more detailed information, see Feasibility Study Graphics under the Documents section.

Missed the meeting, but please get this trail segment done ASAP, is greatly needed, and would be highly utilized. Additionally, fast track extension to Chandler park during same process.

Can we reduce the speed limit along this stretch of road to further increase safety with the influx of humans that will surely be on the side of the road?

I missed the meeting and am an adjacent property owner. Is there a summary or documentation of questions and answers somewhere?

How can I get more information on this? Or future discussions? I think it is a great idea.

So excited for this project. We live right off WRR and 120th. Having an easy route to connect us to the reserve is one of the best things!!! Are they considering putting a roundabout on WRR and Winnetka at the same time? We would love to see that next!!

Hi, we live at the intersection of 119th Pl N and West River Road in Champlin. Will the proposed trail be on the North or South side of West River Road at that point? Thank you. Tim Andreen - 763-360-5661

Wow. Adding that trail segment would resolve a to-me significant safety concern for cyclists, pedestrians, and automobile traffic as the gap between trails results in traffic along that section of West River Rd. that seems ripe for catastrophe.

I was thrilled to read if the emerging possibility.

Thank you for soliciting opinion.
